By any chance, might you have photographed the adjacent wagon, the was "modern-day-equivalent"?

Graham,

Is this enough????

It's funny as I was also at Shildon last weekend and took a number of pictures of the same wagon...

However, Rob's pictures cover just about the same as mine, but I used my phone as I forgot my camera, so mine are not as good...

I think that you mean HAA... the last time I was in Shildon (the week before S&D150) those things were being built still, I think that all are now out of revenue service.

Graham,
They have the last ever made one at Shildon, it was outside last weekend. As with Rob the wagon next to the NER hopper does not stick in my mind as to whet it was.

As you know I have local family so I am in the area often, if there is any thing you are looking for let me know, unless Rob has picked up the commission.;)

Hi John,

JP's emails pictures are great...

The only thing I can add to his is that the wagon at Shildon has two sets of 'brackets/ladder rungs' in each of the inside corners.

Hi all has anyone made any of PR model railway products kits
Ermmm. . <raises hand>

My first ever loco build was the PRMRP kit of a BR class 02 (that's the little 0-4-0 shunting engine with a veranda on the back)

It was not just 'shake the box', my expectations exceeded my scratch-building ability, and it eventually became a test loco for one or two things - I added hornblocks and compensation, for example.
If the 'interest bubble' ever expands again, I could probably finish it. IIRC, the real problem was attaching the front and rear buffer beams that I had fabricated.

In fact, I'm sure that InterCity126 was/is building one as well . . .
