Rob, I have sent a message to the person who I was thinking of... maybe you can try your approach and hopefully you will not need to stand on Chris's shoulders.

regards, Graham

I did the same last night so hopefully one of us will get a result:thumbs:

Hi John,

Great progress. The SPV's look good:bowdown:. I look forward to the next stage , transfers and weathering:thumbs:.

I use HMRS coach insignia sheet for most of my coach/parcels stock;).

John

I used HMRS methfix tranfers, the BR blue sheet, tower have it in stock, although I think I might have used a fox ready assembled transfer for the number on the one you saw, but I have used methfix on others and I have used fox transfer on the GUVs, they all have their pros and cons.

image.jpg assembling the brake gear without the wheels in the in the way much simpler and if you can see it I leave the yoke that goes over the axle unglued until the wheels go in for the final time

Hi John,
I've been following this thread with a great deal of interest as I've always liked the look of these vehicles and can recall rows of them parked outside Aylesbury station in the late 1970's. Earlier on in the thread you asked for photos of rakes of these in traffic. I found this today http://www.railbrit.co.uk/imageenlarge/imagecomplete.php?id=25452
and wonder if you've seen it before?
I seem to recall hearing that the traffic from Aylesbury was for Readers Digest.

Excellent and I've built four  And I've ordered a blue Heljan 25. I must admit to being surprised at the interest as there has already been two threads on these wagons already
