When the thin railfan veneer is peeled back the bus fanatic is revealed . It happened here yesterday and the morning's meeting degenerated into bus (and truck) reminiscence.

As a kit designer, I have no problems with the concept of designing road vehicles in addition to railway items viz., this 7mm scale London K3 class trolleybus


I can't imagine why anyone would find that odd. After all, it's just another area to research prior to sitting down with pencil and graph paper.

Just backtracking on the Aberdeen buses, in addition to the AEC Regent II or III on the right (with an early Weymann body), I've done a deeper dive and from the left we have an AEC Regent V with a Park Royal Body and a Daimler CVG6 with a Metro-Cammell body.

It’s surely no more odd than favouring one pre-grouping company over another, or BR blue, or model planes or ships.
