This may be of use to you, It was put on a BRITISH RAILWAY page, on a facebook site, Great picture for modellers.
So is the driven rear sand box the one that you can only just see the sand trap of just in front of the blast pipe?

It looks like you have two filler pipes above the running plate one one for the front sand box for the driven wheel (the short one) and a tall one for the rear sand box for the driven wheel.

the sand boxes are on the LH side of the flangeless centre wheel [book 9f ,steam lament] 92025 gives a good side view, no sand pipes
on the rear wheels

I've never mentioned the rear drivers. Only the driven wheel (or intermediate wheel or centre wheel).

Thank you chaps for helping me out on this. I think I've got it now, but happy for more input.

Below is my take on proceedings.

First off, the front sandboxes. Like I say, they can be moved for final adjustment.

Then the R/H side.

Finally the L/H side.

And an overhead shot.

Obviously there will need to be pipes connecting the fillers to the sand boxes. Blu Tack to be removed!

It appears sand went to the front drivers and the middle drivers (which is ironic since they are flangeless, but I guess they still provide the same amount of traction as the flanged drivers).

Now I'm going to lie down in a dark room to recover!! :D

as far as i can see the rh ones were fed from the lh side through the chassis but can't swear to it, the non crosti boxes were in the
middle of the frames so feeding each side, really nice work though Mike :)

Hmm. I see where you're coming from, but I think the Crosti preheater would have got in the way.

Mike,

Sometimes I think I should leave some bits off but then habit takes over, again! Actually it‘s usually after the model is finished when I see something I missed off that that ’could have done better’ feeling takes the wind from my sails.

Ian,

PS. When making clevises from square tube the way you have you can add a wee piece of round tube where the wire goes in to replicate the forged bit! Extreme I know and probably only noticed by the builder.

I've just noticed the part I've circled below should be at the bottom rather than at the side. Seems to move about a bit according to some pictures I've seen, but definitely at the bottom on my prototype. It's not a very complex part, so I might replace it with some sort of brass concoction as it'll be a bit stronger.
