A track level view, taken today. Signal box still not permanently in place, however.

What seems to be a board crossing is actually a wooden walkway for the signalman to collect the single line token from a train coming from Coalpit Heath West Jct. The line onwards towards Westerleigh Yard North is double track (permissive block).

Is the very neatly painted MR signalbox in LMS colours, or has the Western Region taken over the area and the brown & cream are W,.Region colours? I ask because I have some videos on railways in the Midlands and some MR boxes carry these colours.

The signal box was recently painted in WR colours, Larry. The location is just north of Bristol, so this ex-MR line has been under WR control for a few years.

The box needs some light weathering before I fix it in place permanently.

I really like this shot, Tim! Well done. It looks very realistic.

Best wishes

Bethesda Sidings is currently up at the moment at home, being made ready for the Taunton show next weekend and the allotted motive power is being tested. Here are a couple of images:

The weathering on the diesel shunter is the expert work of Tom Foster.

Although diesels never featured on the real life Kington area branch lines, this represents a 'might have been', had the chosen steam loco failed on shed and Leominster 'just happened to have' a 350hp diesel shunter on hand, together with a driver who had appropriate traction knowledge.....
