It's not a pannier. It's a collection of parts that do not a pannier make. Or, at least, that's what I got when I bought one.

Having successfully opened the website, I see that the locos are not available as kits, only RTR.

Concentrated today on the wingwalls. I noted that photos of my prototype inspiration showed the walls were curved horizontally, so a fair bit of effort went in to persuading to wall to bend, and stay bent!

The above curved formers did the trick but it wasn't easy...

I think the curved approach helps make it look less like a square model. Nice. A bit of foamboard will help form the road... Eventually.

Quite a bit of work on this side too, with stonework continuing to spread.

I'm reaching the conclusion that I can't avoid adding the nearest abutment of the girder bridge to this module. On the plus side that will help finalise the dimensions of the girders.

Managed to do another sneaky hour before bed. Add the string courses and a bit more stone.

Always tricky balancing up finished front levels when the brick sheets, plasticard and Wills stone are all different thicknesses (0.5mm, 1mm and c2mm). Lots of remembering to do re either packing or filing down. Complicated by also having to remember that some things are intended to be proud or recessed...

Just a small thing, and you’re probably already planning to sort it out, but make sure your fence posts are vertical up the slope.

I'm loving seeing the progress on the layout scenics. Fab stuff.

I Heather, thanks for the comment, always good to get some feedback!

Yes, the fence is just a placeholder, and a Slaters RTR item. Rest assured that the real fence will be pukka LSWR and with vertical fence posts.

Your modelling is very impressive! Are these sheets marketed as 7 mm scale? Just searched ebay, but only seem to find 4 mm scale sheets. Many thanks.

Hi Mark, many thanks!

No, just the bog standard 4mm Wills coarse stone sheets. They are ok for many situations in 7mm as the larger blocks are over 1' wide. Ideal for the cheaper, less glamorous end of the market but no good for larger, posh big stonework. That's where I tend to go rogue and make up stonework from individual plasticard blocks.
