Following the recently completed D1, I've made a start on the E1. As with the D1, the bogie has been put together first.
The support brackets for the compensating beams, drilled and 0.6mm rivets fitted.
The basic bogie frame assembled.
First problem, the etched holes do not line up.
Once some judicious filing had taken place, I could continue assembling the bogie.
Finally, mounted on its wheels.
When it has had a thorough clean up it will be ready for priming.
