So as everyone will be aware by now that Expo EM summer has had to be cancelled. A blow to many who were looking forward to going including the Skeetsmere team. But these things happen and progress continues.

The only silver lining to the show cancellation cloud is it has allowed me to look at some non essential jobs on the layout. Firstly the ground texture and colour in the station yard has had some toning and variations added.

The first of the three buffer stops are finally being added. This will make operators happier so they don't deposit wagons into the roadway! Thanks to
@Dave F. for the bufferstops.

The shed inspection pit has now been filled in. Since the track was laid this has just been a hole in the baseboard.

The layout has left the house this weekend to a meeting of the local 2mm area group for a talk on design and the experimental side of Skeetsmere. We were delayed getting into the hall so by necessity we have proved that we can setup the layout and be operational in 30 mins (exhibition managers please note) thanks to
@2mm Andy and
@2mmEditor for help setting up and taking down.

But sadly this will be it's last outing until it makes a 3rd and final visit to Workshop Wise in October. However I intend to continue pressing ahead with working on it so it can be ready for when
@Leander needs it for a show
