Very nice indeed Tony, I wish MOK do something Norrh Eastern as I agree that there kits are excellent. What's next on the workbench after painting the fairburn and the 8F Tony ?

The Fairburn has been sprayed black and will go to Paul Moore to be lined out. Probably drop that off whilst I am at Halifax with Hollowbeck shed. Once the 8F is finished I'll weather the B1, K3 and class B's. Then, I think I'll have a go at the David Andrews 2P. That one was very nicely covered in the recent Gazette.

After several sessions I've at last completed most of the water pick up gear. The MOK tender chassis is pretty comprehensive. One of the problems is that the cross members have to come out with the inner chassis, so they are held in place with 14BA screws. It's not the neatest job I've done, my my reasoning is that it will all be covered in crud anyway. So its just been washed after 2 sessions, there is still some cleaning up and trimming to do...

Hi Tony,

Undortunately I missed the tanks. I had a very good time but I did manage to put a bit of a dent in my wallet. I did go back to Hollabeck shed and saw the 04/8 you were talking about, a very nice model indeed. It would be great to see some pictures of your build as a tool for guidance in the future when I get round to building one myself,

I couldn't resist posting this, although none of the work is mine. The 04/8 was built by Allen Hammet for Dave Wellington, and is resting in a siding on the superb Nafferton layout built by Marcus Woodcock. The loco was built from the combination of a Gladiator 04/7 and DMR B1 parts. As it is so good, I have asked Allen to build me one! The guys are writing up the build for the Gazette I believe.

Dave's 04/8 looks great. Since I have photo of an o4/8 on Lees shed in the late 50s(late emblem), yours will fit in just fine for Heyside:)
