Yes disappointed i am too ,as they would have been superb for a small 7mm layout....but then if the urge gets too much....

Morning Brian,

I do have an option for 7mm if the urge gets too much.

It's a Dapol B4 which is sound fitted. A truly splendid model.

But.......with so many ideas for 4mm projects, anything in 7mm is a very slow burn.

Rob, if what you achieve in 4mm is anything to go by, whatever you produce in 7mm would be amazing. After all the IKEA shelf baseboard could be slightly extended with similar layout ideas then I am sure you will not need to extend the Road!!
The B4 looks a lovely model, don't you have something else in 7mm.....an 03 or 04?? Also a 7mm J70 is easier to attempt some chain shunting without being too small....
Food for thought....
The Moggie reminds me of Dad's old Mini van with an industrial steam loco chimney in the back...not just name or number plates!!
Cheers

Hi Julian,

Thank you. I did briefly have an 03 but through no fault of the vendor, it was found to have an issue on arrival and was returned. Vendor was excellent throughout. A pity as it was a super model.

The 7mm B4 is every inch as good, and then some, as Dapol's 4mm version with the sound adding a further dimension. A proper smile inducing toy.

There some simply incredible models now arriving in the shops. As I say, the 7mm project is a 'sleeper'.......for now at least.

I'm itching to start on the new layout but that's not due until probably November.....by which time I'll be getting going with organising SWAG'24.....

Once again, a busy end to the year.

Yes Rob 7mm is very addictive and as you say there are some very nice models.
As Jordan says.....
I am sure it won't be long before it is awoken from the sleep....
Nice feedback on the seller.
I'll watch this space but as Genesis wrote "The lamb (still) lies down on Broadway"…
Cheers

That’s all very well, but round here the lamb remains defiant, despite motherly advice.

”I’m still standing!” Yeah, yeah,yeah

Hi Rob, it might be worth looking at the FB Micro Layout group, Players Yard by Kevin Gill is just two sidings but beautifully portrayed.

Rob, FB is a distraction as there are so many groups but it does open up other modeller's perspective.
BUT it can also be a big pain so I don't blame you for not having this!
I have sent an email to you with a couple of photos.... hopefully the owner of the layout does not mind.
All the best
Julian

If it's Broadway should the lamb be lying down?

Have a good show Rob.
I would pop down to say hello but I am currently in foreign parts - poor excuse I know but SWMBO wouldn't be too impressed........

Hi Rob,
Good to meet you yesterday and see Bleat in the fl... err wool so to speak. Very nice.

Cheers,

Kevin

Morning, Kevin.

Thank you. Glad you liked it. Bleat went well over the weekend and presented few problems. It was a very enjoyable few days. The organisers were just excellent and the welcome the exhibitors received was second to none. For Bleat's last outing, it couldn't have gone better really.

I met lots of familiar faces, many, many new ones and it really was a nice social event. I've picked up a few tentative show invites next year as well which will take me back 'oop north' if they come to fruition.

Thoughts are now turning to taking Ewe to the Uckfield show in a little under a months time and there's abit to do ahead of this.

Stand by...........

Rob

Have you now persuaded your better half, that running the B4 downstairs whilst she is still in bed is a good thing.

Good to see you again at Stafford.

(Finally I seem to be able to post on WT once more. Not a banning or a WT software issue, but something wrong with my PC, which the latest upgrade seems to have resolved.)
