It's a fine piece of modelling all round that indicates you have keen observation as well as the skills 'to make things happen'. When I saw the LMR and LSWR 0-6-0's while reading through the whole thread this morning, I assumed Mutton was a joint line. See, you've got me at it now!
That's very kind of you to say so Larry. Thank you.
I am not of an age to have witnessed steam in daily use so I am reliant on books /internet and contemporary film. I try to achieve an impression and model with a pretty broad brush to please myself. Skill wise, I'm still learning, trying different things to see what works............and what doesn't......
I flit between the SDJR/Midland and LSWR. Mutton is set in the London and South Western part of Devon, heading towards the coast at Lamb Regis which is in the adjacent county of Dorset.
The latest layout is Bleat Wharf and this is quietly coming together. It's set in the SDJR part of Somerset as is Sheep Lane, and they both illustrate the goods only side of the 'joint' line tucked away on their individual spurs off the Highbridge branch.
I have always been drawn to the mixture of Southern/LSWR stock and infrastructure along with Midland/LMS locos and stock
One day we will have a very Midland part of Bristol to play with, I'm sure.........or a stab at the terminus at Lamb Regis to keep Mutton company.
Ewe know it makes sense....
A couple of Mutton and an image of a 3F, one of my favourite locos.
