Not much to report apart from the fact that I've been experimenting with simulating crumbling concrete. I intend to model the station overbridge with a central concrete support that has pieces fallen off and with steel reinforcing showing through. The whole scene will be 'fenced' off and have workmen added. I was beginning to make some significant progress but our granddaughter decided to arrive early  Little Tayla Jayne thought it would be funny to interrupt Gramps at 2am in the morning and then proceed to umm and ahh as to whether or not she was actually going to come out. Evetually she popped her head out at 0928. She deffo takes after the female side of the family  Awkward the lot of them :p Now we're finally home it means a weekend of college assignments and then some modelling :)

Since last post in no particular order, granddaughter, work, look after wife, work, work, posting notice, college, look after wife, work, college, work, college, posting notice, work, house move on, finish college, look after wife, house move off, work, house move on, pack belongings, work, look after wife = not a lot of modelling :(

However, the Spartan Bridge S&T dept have been busy of late wiring in the new box

It would seem that the PWay mob are in for it as the Super' has turned up and they're nowhere to be found :shit:

The control panel just needs the last three isolating switches wiring in then it's a wait for the 25 pin D sub connectors to get here. The Royal Hong Kong Bay Railway are running rather late with their freight service  Once the connectors are here then the panel wiring can be finished then attention can turn to finishing the layout wiring.

Update time!

Finally moved house and have got nearly everything unpacked. Well, I've unpacked enough stuff to keep the ball and chain happy so that I could concentrate on more important matters. The following montage shows the highs and lows of moving

From an empty pristine 20' x 10' railway ro... err garage to this

Then a small chink in the mess of moving appears

Resulting in my new workbench area

To finally Spartan Bridge arriving in it's new home

And the answer is yes. I have thought of an extension right out of the back door and into the garden on more than one occasion. Even the threat of physical bodily harm by the Dearest if I even attempt it has not stopped me thinking :p

More updates as and when the chances arise,

Toodles

Nice one Mark,

I like your thinking behind the " extension right out of the back door and into the garden". Would be a great plan.

All you need to do is earn some brownie points and then approach her when she is vunerable;):)).

Hi Gang,

Here's a peek at one of the latest arrivals at Spartan Bridge, you'll have to wait to see the other one. For those of you of the green persuasion then look away now :)
