Have received a reply from David White about S7 outside crank axles for the square ended O/c version.
Dear Ian

If you want the square ended version the reference number is X720052S they should be on the website.

Regards

David White

So, these don't appear to be on the website and no-one else has mentioned them. I am pleased in that I can now model all the locos I have kits for on the shelf!
Cheers

Good news Ian  .

Some of us have kits which require the D-end axle (MMP and Finney for example) and the S7 version of that axle was done for a collective of WTers who model to S7 standards.

Interesting question time:- Richard (@Dikitriki) - Finney kits for GWR 4-4-0s had an option for cast brass outside cranks and those cranks were cast with the "D" hole for the axle end. What is the chance of those cast cranks being available under the new management?

Hi Graham,

In principle, anything that Martin did, we will do. However, it is unlikely that we would do them before we re-released the 4-4-0 kits.

Very happy as the blown up from 4mm etches arrived for this a couple of days ago and now can be built. Just need to get the wheels and then re-profiled.
Anybody know a source for this type of buffer?
Cheers, Ian

Ian,
There are a reasonable number of Craven and Stroudley loco castings available from Sanspareil. Indeed, at one point they did some kits for early LBSCR locos.
I would like to drop in the usual disclaimer comment at this point, but I'm afraid I can't; I did the patternmaking. And I certainly did this buffer and another type as well I think.

I must correct myself. The O/C S7 axles are not on the ordering system of the website but are in the downloadable price list. I just ordered online as usual and added a message to change them for S7 ones in the Comments box. Hopefully see them early next week and the wheels are being turned down this week also. Thanks Col! Full steam ahead!
Cheers, Ian
