I have been doing a bit more, the next step being the brake hanger brackets. The instructions recommend drilling and tapping these 12 ba and then using some headless screws to hold everything. These are small parts and found this small vice very useful for holding them to drill out and then tap.

I've done 7 so far only another 23 to go !

Looks very useful for holding those small parts that tend to ping off round the bench when held in ordinary pliers or tweezers.
Can you provide some details and source?

I've found this to be very useful for holding small parts to be drilled.

I think mine came from Cookson Gold.

There is a very short spigot on the back of those brackets to locate them on the loco frames. Without something like this drilling them would be very tricky.
