I do have a set of GW Models rollers, but not needed here as the boiler comes ready rolled. I just had to punch a few rivets out.do you use a roller mike or freehand, i always use a piece of card so to overlap the ends

Hi DaveHave you plans to fill the gap between the top of the pony truck and the loco frames? There was a hefty cast pintle, circular with four ribs, on the real thing.

In addition to Mick's photos, here is a section of drawing for an Ivatt 2 tank, which shows the same arrangement. Also attached are a photo of my 4 mm scale version under the Ivatt tank and a sketch of the item I made for my 9F. On my locos, the pintle functions exactly as the prototype because the pony truck axle is spring in the truck. If you truck has fixed axles, you'll need to leave clearance to the pintle to allow the truck some vertical movement.
