Western Thunderer
A night more of thinking that of doing this evening as we took stock on what the next few stages of work will need to be (rather than rushing in and then damaging or having to undo earlier work............ benefit of doing wrong in the past! ).
Still some seemingly bonefied road vehicles have arrived for consideration.......
Including this tidy Morris LD - which will benefit form some flush glazing and likely a repaint into a local company livery ......... at least 2 photos have been found thus far of these vans in service locally - including a cracking one belonging to Sissons paints.....but I dont think my painting skills are up to replicating it!
Also testing out the turning area in the coal yard was this Ford Thames ............. which believe it or not was a model in a European Partwork series (a Bedford TJ and Bedford OW in RAF finsh also featured in the range..........the Thames also appears with a box body too).............. nice model and with a scratch built back in place of the gas board arangement and suitable repaint will be the local coal merchants dray.
I had also hoped to start conversion of this nice laser cut kit which will form part of the builders merchants yard this evening. However the kit arrived from the supplyer minus the two side walls........... mutter mutter!
