The little display case I’ve been working on had some surgery today to shorten the height a good old cut n shut!
I needed to add some beefier timber so I can attach a 3’ LED strip light behind.I’ve ordered some north light pattern low relief shed sides for along the back.
Track laid this evening using C&L rail and chairs

Busy working away on the Intentio coal stage and in between weathering I’ve slotted in another pair of Ellis Clark pressflows

Track work nearly completed, I’ve polished the rail heads before the paint fully hardens, I’ll clean up the loose paint tomorrow

Tree day! The tall ones are for St Stephen’s and the smaller ones are for Pontycwm and a diorama based on the KESR

Fitted a 3’ LED strip light into the new show display today,
I’ve attached another piece of foil backed timber along the top to deflect the light downwards
Which helps highlight the subtle tones particularly around the pits. Many years of oil spills.
Pontycwm has replaced Grimsby on the trestles to get it ready in time for Guildex in September.
I want a Valleys feel with the shed nestled into the hill side, this one will be heading up the mountain soon enough for a few outdoor shots.

Please Steve, is this a complete light fitting with its own diffuser, or one of those flexible LED strips?
The effect in the pits looks just right

It’s a an LED strip light with its own diffuser. as I needed one for the KESR diorama I found a good deal for a pair on Amazon.

The shed foreman escorts a photographer from the Railway magazine, he’s requested 6028 be posed along side the shed for a portrait as she is earmarked for withdrawal in a few weeks time.
The Intentio north light pattern shed segments are on the way.
