Life can be a pain.

I experienced a paper tsunami last Tuesday. Shelving erected some 9 years ago using top of range aluminium system announced rather spectacularly that it was overloaded and threw in the towel.

I jumped away and was unhurt and observe that the only permanent damage is to a lot of cardboard magazine holders and my dignity.

I am now replacing it with proper steel Spur system but am slow because I need help with holding an SDS drill at top of step ladder.

Then to reinstate the paper load.

No modelling for two weeks as I must clear the dining room which is out of normal use being piled up with stray paper……..

Today I am entertained by chaps fitting a new garage door to replace the one vandalised in early May.

The shelf fitting has progressed somewhat, 2 verticals fully screwed to wall, 3rd has 3 of 4 fixings done, 4th awaits hefting heavy SDS drill to the top. No fun in 80% humidity and 33.5 degrees......H&S nightmare!
The fitting of the 4th and final upright requires drilling more holes in a position temporarily inaccessible until garage door fitting is finished.

Garage door all done, insurance covers £1k of cost, rest is my excess to pay.

Shelves mostly up but I am short of two brackets so one shelf awaits a trip to hardware shop.
Despite being highly qualified in Maths apparently I can't count, I blame it on the heat addling my brain.
Large amount of books and files restored so dining room nearly back inro use. Senior Management is almost happy.

Back to CMS bogies later today, YAIeee
