Thanks, Larry. I do have a resin kit to build of a type. Need to build that one really but the ones on your layout looked rather nice.

All the best,

A close friend knows what I'm up to and launched a missile loaded with telling off's and good suggestions over the weekend......:p:p. But I am what I am and changing direction without notice is what I do. Llanfair in 00 was looking pretty but, having got there, I felt it could look even better in 0 gauge particularly as this scale has very realistic looking 57XX' and 14XX's, which are all I need. Rolling stock construction will be limited to a Collett passenger parcels van.

Obviously there is a lot to do and at the wrong end of the year, so it is going to be very slow going. At the moment it is a case of 'nothing to see'....

Well, Larry, I know better than to advise you on what to do! At least there a lots of photos on WT to remind us of your hard work during 2023. And here I am with a car load of Southern Pacific HO to be unloaded later today for a new layout in the Motor House.

Been to the council tip twice today, a nice day for a clear out. Half of the fiddle yard board under the window will be removed to allow plenty of circulating area around the widest part of the scenic baseboard. New ID backscenes exactly as used last time have been purchased but these are the 15" high variety. The planks at the bottom end will be covered with plywood this time.....

I am curious Larry, is this a different shed/place than the 00gauge layout? Your mention of trips to the council tip sounds a bit ominous.

Same shed Michael. That baseboard is the remains of the old 00 one. Part of it will be used to build a new wider baseboard, which I want to install a.s.a.p. I haven't been in the mood for a very long time, but I am now so things are moving.

Hi Larry , before you put the ply on why not shove some insulation in there as well , that will keep the draughts down a bit .

Mike, Larry has form. He's ripped up umpteen nearly finished and wonderful looking layouts in order to switch to something more satisfying/interesting - he claims. However, I know the real reason is to give me a chance to finish Holt (Delph) before he is satisfied with a finished layout.
Have to say, it won't work.:D
Dave.

I may not be the sharpest tool in the box...but are you saying you ditched that lovely 4mm scene - last pic post 671?
Hi Mike, That's right. I needed a big winter project with being retired, and 0 gauge will give me something to do indoors and out. It will likely follow this pattern with the goods shed at the back.. Apart from saving me having a very wide baseboard, I wouldn't want a stonking great goods shed between me and wagon couplings...
