Sorry people, Kingsbridge/Wencombe is no more. 4 of the boards have been taken up, the stream, the harbour, the station throat and the fiddle yard throat, only four more boards to go. The station itself and the fiddle yard wich wil be the last to go. It's taken a lot longer than I thought. Unfortunately with a layout that goes round a room and was initially built some 10 years plus ago, although only two coach bolts joining each board some minor screws etc have been covered in scenery and therefore taking them apart as well as glue having dribbled between the baseboard joints as well as how the back-scene was screwed to the baseboards it has taken almost three hours a board so far and the with intermittent cleaning and vacuuming it has taken 2 days to get this far. I'm hoping that the last 4 boards will be somewhat quicker as they are not "squashed" in and can be move laterally which may help with parting them.
I would like to thank all those followers and those who have looked in occasionally for all your support and encouragement over the past 10 years or so on both Wencombe and Kingsbridge Regis, I hope you will follow The build of Louville Lane in the Cameo layouts section. It may be a few weeks yet as the railway room needs a bit of titivation The building of Wen/ Kings was enjoyable but it is now time for a change . The new layout is being funded by the sale of now redundant stock and buildings.
Oddly I feel little regret as I destroy some 12 years (all told) work. At the moment the boards are being stored in the garage and sitting opposite them is the new board for Louville Lane.
However don't be surprised to see the odd appearance of the Kingsbridge thread from time to time, I gather a stash of photos has just been found and will of course be shown on here.
Again many thanks for all your support and kind comments.
