After years of photographing models on a white background I thought it was time for a change. The idea was to make them look in a natural environment
I built a raised track diorama; the background is a large print from an image I shot while on a walk. I photograph my models in the conservatory which has nice diffuse light.

The only thing to watch when photographing indoors against a photographic backdrop is to ensure the studio or natural directional lighting is consistent with the backdrop to ensure any shadows cast by the subject follow the same alignment as those in a backdrop.
