The push-pull fitted locos (and some non-fitted) had a different type of mechanical lubricator on the LHS (cylinder lubrication) which had a bolted top cover, with an angled filler spout in the lid, as opposed to the normal hinged lid. I think this was because the push-pull vacuum operating gear would prevent a hinged lid being opened to replenish the oil. A hinged lid was OK on the RHS (mechanical feed) because the lubricator was much shorter, so the lid cleared the push-pull gear.
