It was only half a sea side bucket’s worth! I suspect there was more in the kids socks and swimming costumes! I had sand in my boot for months!!

Another scenic delivery arrived today from the Heki Range,

Ballast now complete on board 1, once dry I’ll clean up any rogue bits on top of sleepers or stuck to the rail sides, then final weathering.
Board 2 will Be based on the secluded section that doesn’t actually have a Wall.
I had a sheet of old ply measuring 4’x 2’ and sketched out a plan and using some old POS card from Asda mocked it up in 3D.
This one will have the Trains partially obscured by Permanent way buildings and a large wind swept tree!

You don't often see flange greasers modelled Steve. Come to think of it, I've never seen a flange greaser modelled....

Track weathering this morning
The slaters stone wall has shrunk a little so I’ve filled it with no nails! Hopefully once painted it won’t be as noticeable!
I’ve sprayed a little JLTRT track dirt where locos would stand at the signal

Coping stones will cap off the wall and spear top fencing.

Track joints soldered up today plus some additional V’s files in for a nice clickety clack! C&L fish plates added and painted, they’ll get weathered once the black paint dry’s

With the sun light steaming through the window I thought it would be a pity not to take a few quick snaps of my castles on the sea Wall. This shot will be massively improved once the tunnel mouth is in place. Both built from JLTRT kits, in my opinion the best way to get a castle in 7mm Scale.

1961 on the sea wall, Falcon returns to Bristol on a test run to Plymouth. Passes a Warship on the Torbay express.
Fast forward 4 years and now a Bath Road allocated freshly overhauled Falcon takes an express to the south west.

Another delivery of foliage from the Heki Range, ordered via the Wheelspin Models web page. Lighter green this time.
The fascia will cover the exposed polystyrene.
Back to the Polak Range next for more wild bushes.

Last delivery arrrived today from the Polak Range, that pretty much wraps up the scenic side. Jut some laser cut ferns and nettles from Noch to add.

The two 4’ boards marked out, one based on Shell Cove and the other is on the section only accessible from in land.
The original 4’ centre section has grown to 6’ and will also include the GWR 2 aspect colour light signal. This was of course for Ranelagh Bridge but as you can see it lives right on the edge and is in a precarious position and ripe for damage by being knocked over.
I will commission another wind swept tree from Mike for this board as I did intend on having a second tree originally but deleted it when I laid everything out as it looked too cramped but now it’s 2’ longer I can accommodate it.

Looks good I think.
I’ve also added some drainage pipes for when the sea gets rough.
