(Re Ikea "water").... reminds me of an incident at our house this week; a sister-in-law visits my wife who had knee surgery recently.
Said S-i-L only drinks hot water, not tea or coffee.
When I gave her the cup of hot water I asked - completely deadpan - if it was strong enough for her..?

I could almost hear the 'whoosh' as my question sailed waaaay over her head....

Not exactly humour as such, but this really reminds me of my late brother in law who was a more than a bit religious! He had a visit from some Jehovah's Witnesses and kept them for almost four hours, asking question after question. I suspect they needed their religion following that visit.
