I wonder if RSPV (Reliant's Special Purpose Vehicle Division) experimented with a front skid on their Rugged Robin.....

I certainly wouldn't look forward to maintaining the swinging arm and steering on that. Bad enough after a normal winter. Yes, I'm one of those strange folk that actually rebuilt Reliant Robins for fun (and a nice profit) when I was younger.

I’m much amused by the British Seagull engine on the back. I imagine the MoD assessors had trouble keeping straight faces.

more seriously, I understand that fibreglass is much disliked by the military, as if it contaminates wounds, it’s a bit difficult to deal with, pretty much x-Ray and visible light invisible. yuck.

I’ve got four, if anyone needs one. Two big ‘uns with clutches, and two little ones, direct drive. The little ones are very sweet.

I have had the great pleasure of driving Rugged - oh such fun (but not in a real combat situation of course....)
(that isn't me below I hasten to add):

I might be being unfair, but I’m struggling to take it seriously.

I think I’d prefer a BMW or URAL flat twin three wheeler with dog clutch drive to the sidecar wheel.

not at 54 grand however!
