GWR Signal box toilets!

I am just drawing up a signal box, the plans I am working from show the toilet next to the entrance and a small vestibule, but I cant work out if there was a window in the vestibule. Hopefully the drawing should make it clear, any input appreciated......

Thanks Ian I am 90% sure there is a window and a glazed door into the 'box but I would like confirmation

Many thanks Ian, it makes sense now I never thought of that arrangement from what I am told by some of the old boys, signal boxes tended to be a bit drafty and cold,but It looks pretty well equipped in terms of comforts for the signal man. The levers and bells are a bit beyond me though

St Erth is a box with that configuration of toilet, IIRC, but you need to turn the light on there to see what you're doing, so I don't think there is a glazed section.... Other boxes seem to have the toilet in a different position, such as on the back wall, where there is a window, eg. Roskear, Par and Lostwithiel.

Liskeard has no window, but the toilet is at the opposite end from the entrance (internal) stairwell. St Blazey has no window (again you have to turn the light on!). Truro and Goonbarrow have downstairs toilets that you have to access by going outside and down the external stairs.

That concludes (for the moment) the Lavatorial Tour of West Country signalboxes!.... :laugh:

Your last post answers the question I was going to ask - are you having this etched. Shame I quite fancied one it looks quite excellent.

I am just downloading the latest version of Sketchup to have a go at some drawings myself, starting I hope with the spray booth.

Yes, surely laser cutting in MDF or similar would be ideal in 7mm scale or above?
