Just on the tanks - there are two problems with them - the spring compensation doesn't work as the axil boxes stay where they are and ride up over the points, and there are no heat coils fitted and there would have to be. That aside there are lots of points to take into account with this traffic as it's far more complicated than you think. There are two fantastic books - I must have read each four or five times and I still don't know that much

It's a nice little thing. Mine have all gone, class 60 next.
I'd like to hear a rail car with sound installed if any ones done one

Looks very good - and they seem to have done well with the body/skirt join on this one; it must be a pain to design the tooling to keep such a joint neat.

Seeing as the cat is out of the bag so to speak here are a couple more pics of the pre-production model. The cab windows on this model fit from the outside and do have a nice finish to them. The bogies are nice with a good depth to the sideframes and the wheels are just right.

It's being painted BR Blue at the moment, surprise!

Blue??? Well I never!
Oh well look forward to seeing it painted.
One minor thing the hand rails below the front windows should have a centre bracket. As this is a pre pro I'm sure that it will get sorted.
I'm looking forward to these now and to modifying two of them.

I've resisted Heljan so far, but that looks a cracker. Are they going to be available without numbers & names?
