On a bit of a whim, I decided to completely rebuild the tippler tower. The old one was fully 3d printed and was a bit wibbly, it also took some damage when the layout fell off its legs last year so I figured it was time!
For the new one, I 3d printed the 2 side pieces before cladding them in Evergreen styrene corrugated siding, along with some 4mm x 4mm H section for the 'roof' girders. The hut on top was also built from Evergreen sheet, after being cut on the silhouette. It's a lot neater and more straight than the original, plus a little closer to the prototype albeit still mirrored and shrunk a tad. I also extended the whole structure a tad so it now rests against the backscene which hides the fiddle transition a little better.
