Getting on for 7 weeks since I last posted on here, it's been almost that long since I've been in the railway room. Any way to the point, way back in Feb I was thinking (unusual) is there a way of creating a differnet version of Forest sidings without causing to much hassle, and about the Geoff was thinking about an engine shed so was I. So at the Kettering show I picked up the small shed prduced by L cut. It will be stone clad not brick with rectangular windows and with the pitched roof extended where the water tank is in the kit. I'll but the tank somewhere else on the layout. Progress to date is I've stuck the wall panels together. I'm not to sure as to which slaters stone sheet to use the 420 sheets of maller stone layers which I have used on all my other stone buildings or the much larger dressed stone, yes I do realise I could use dass to make individual stones, not a job I particularly want at the moment. Anyway some snaps apart from the walls nothing is stuck together.

Wich stone do I choose, to be honest I prefer the smaller stone, much easier to cut.

Embossed stone is difficult to work at joins and corners and door & windows.. I've always used Wills moulded stone sheets for my 4mm and 7mm structures. Off hand, I think it is SS200.

My vote, for what it is worth, is for the smaller stones, more in keeping with your other buildings and in scale with the shed too. Quentin

I agree Larry hence I've always used the smaller stone sheets in the past and as Quentin says would match the other stone buildings.

The GWR used some pretty hefty stones for their buildings, and I used the larger ones on a quickie I built for a Lionheart demo stand.
I glued it to the ply shell with "No Nails".
I should have made a better job of the corners!
