I came across what must have been a news service photograph in a number of Australian country town newspapers from October 1952. Quite what the residents of Cobram (Victoria) or Manilla (NSW) made of the photograph of British Railways' wagons which looked like the wagons they could have seen at their local stations for the past fifty years, but smaller, is anybodies guess. Interesting to see the various spelling errors, the typesetters were not trying too hard on these filler pieces.
