. I like the idea of cassettes, using aluminium channel for the 'rails', but must investigate prices, as B&Q ask silly money as far as I can tell....
Someone in the Gazette a while ago used Peco track inside square section UPVC guttering ..........worked very well apparently.....I would have used this myself, but manhandling 14 foot long cassettes didn't seem like a good ideaYes, I could re-use the track off the traverser, but angle would possibly also help keep the cassette base straight, if it's mdf or ply or suchlike?... I'm sick of using materials that warp as soon as you just look at them....
I find that tends to work for me quite wellAfter my attempt at a sliding traverser I've gone beyond the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) and am now using the KIRSS principle instead - Keep It REALLY Simple Stupid.....
Hey, without SIMPLE & STUPID i wouldnt be modelling.
I have always tried to enjoy my modelling and with the thoughts that if im happy thats OK.
Some of the modelling you guys do has me in AWE but without a SIMPLE step by step i couldnt even get close , so sometimes even SIMPLE is'nt SIMPLE enough.
