Hi all, I was forced into joining this forum from a friend, if not I wasn’t able to buy some wagons . He got me interested in American railroad modeling, my chosen interest is 70s Rock island, but I chose to model S scale for something different and currently been quite enjoying it. This is my American models GP9 currently being modified into a GP9R rock island Blues. it started as a milwaukee livery. In process of adding all the extra lights I want in it and sound, hopefully painting soon. TBK.67BD621E-F798-41BB-BA2C-182DB674A721.jpegimage.jpg

"Forced"??!! I prefer the term "Persuaded" myself ;) . Other than that - guilty as charged - EDIT - BUT - I did have to adjust my User name as part of the deal, too!!!:p
Welcome to the Madhouse..... you've met @Stephen (one of our March Meet Couriers) at Kettering, and @Dog Star and @Spike at Stafford.

Good to see some more American modelling on the forum - look forward to updates, and of course, plenty of photos!

What the general plan for the layout?

Cheers,

Stephen
keeping it simple with the first layout 8ft long scenic,Iowa city street running ,industrial district shunting inspired, very much making it up. this where I am at the moment, in the process of covering the middle of the track on the street and changing idea with building locations and types. Welcome Black Knight, very nice to see S scale as others have said.
Interesting array of "specialist" tools Jordan....!!
Rob remarks on the jeep doing the rounds...has it been on Small Ads at some time....bit like some G1 03s.
Glad you were "press ganged" more to look at....
All the best
