Following Brian's post (http://www.westernthunder.co.uk/index.php?threads/can-anyone-identify-where-when.4816/ ) here are some more taken 20 May 78 (from a moving train so a bit blureey). As Brian mentioned there has been some degradation of the transparencies, but may be of interest

Thanks, I uploaded it as it was in the Swindon folder - but realised it didn't look right (which is why I hadn't put it in as a larger image), so intended to emulate Brian & ask!!!

nope, not even same year!

The Swindon ones are from a Brighton- Chester via Newport (6201 Hereford-Chester & 6000 Chester-Hereford) on 20/5/78, the Peterborough one is sometime in July 1980 (school trip to NRM) or on 28/9/81 Deltic gricing trip (don't ask why I wasn't at school on a Monday - I cant remember), but I least I *know* I saw the Newton Chambers Car carriers (Graham to note)

I took these passing Swindon 11.5.85 while aboard the 'Sugar Loaf Refiner' rail tour with a couple of 33's
(33028/57) I think the Western was 1015 Western Champion.

I believe the DTG preservation guys started restoring 1015 to maroon around the early 1980's. I could be wrong as I'm not too hot on the 52's!
