Thanks ( I think!!) - that's another few hours gone browsing through photo's!!
To save time click each users gallery page and the pick where you want to go, that avoids all the bus, family and wildlife photos, unless of course that's what you were after in the first place.

That's a nice quality picture, I'm always on the look out for good quality pictures, yes even BR(W) at times  Do you have a link to the source please.....to see what else he may have

IIRC it was on flicker and I just put the number in the search box.

View attachment 41968 I spent a little time this morning creating a foot print for the layout. Ive got scale sizes for the buildings although the shed will get reduced in size a bit.
This layout has to fit under Ranelagh Bridge so it looks like I might have to loose the front most spur siding that is by the water tower! This is a shame as it's an iconic structure on 87D. I could do it as a bolt on piece for exhibitions.
All this information has been passed over to my very clever Temp-lot drawer mate to see what he can come up with.

Hi Steve

This is what your temploter mate has come up with. Are we in the right ball park.

I have used 1 in 7 crossings with ex GW old type 12ft switches. Plain line curve radii is 4620 mm (approx. 15ft, 10 chains full size).

Regards

No I'm afraid not, I had surgery on my spine a few weeks ago so I'm uncertain on whether I'm going to continue with it,
The reason being is I'm not confident in my ability to transport it around as lifting is going to be an issue for the foreseeable future. I'm going to build Diorama's see my main line micros thread as I will sell these on I don't need to house them or transport them.
Never say never but it won't happen for a few years.
