Yes, I'm building one in 2 1/2" gauge (or gauge 3) based on LBSC's English Mechanics series from the latter WWII years. These drawings are hugely simplified with little detail so I'm gathering all the photographic imagery I can.
Live steam with my "improvements" to the original drawings all over the place.
The tender is a case in point. The model version is a wobbly, twangy construction as designed full of built-in inaccuracy potential. I have little information on the trucks and don't even know which type (if there ever was only one type) was used by Alco, Baldwin, etc. Few photographers ever feel inclined to point their lenses at them and any tender detail (superstructure and/or trucks) is scarce (best source has been an Alaskan restoration project, but it's sketchy).
