Posting a reply to a thread

Not sure if it is me or something to do with the update recently done but I tried to put a reply in a thread today on my "old" iPad and there was no Post Reply box and the keyboard didn't come up. I was able to post a "like" though.
Has anyone else had the same? It worked on my phone as you can see.
Hopefully someone may know and thanks in anticipation of condemning the oldie! (iPad I mean)

I have on old IPad (10 years old now!) and, as you can see, I have a reply box and seems to work ok!

A soft reset of an iPad fixes a multitude of anomalous behaviours.

As you can see my IPad has no Write reply here tag.
May I sound totally lost as to ask what is a soft reset? I need to go back to school I think!
I just thought it may have something to do with the recent updates as this iPad is more than 10 by years old.

For a soft reset would you recommend the copper or the hide side, Dave @daifly ?

Definitely the hide side. If that doesn’t work then get a bigger hammer.

Thanks for the replies but I think it is something to do with Safari and the OS. I have a decent phone so will use that for the moment.
