Here’s wishing Laurie a speedy recovery

Sad to have to report that Laurie died this morning.

"Sad news from a friend of Laurie who I have kept in touch with.

Hi Jackie
I'm sorry to have to tell u that Laurie passed away in the early hours of this morning..he had been in hospital for the last four weeks with a chest infection and sadly fought it well but he succumbed to it this morning."

That is sad. When I started out in the professional build world Laurie gave me lots of encouragement and made a point of recommending me to his customers. We rather lost touch after JLTRT closed. Condolences to his family.

That's very sad news. He was super to deal with - in fact he searched out a complete set of castings for my Royal Scot even though it was no longer listed. I'll remember his kindness and condolences to his family. RIP Laurie.
