I just had an e-mail from Paul Roe, Loco super at the Nene Valley Railway to say that Gerald Boden, owner of The Class 40 D306 "Atlantic Conveyor" and B1 No.1306 "Mayflower", passed away last night..
I didn't know him well, but met him briefly on a number of occasions, and he was a very lovely man..
