7mm Chagford Retrospective

Afraid I can't find the original image files - so sorry for the small pictures.

For those of you not familiar with Chagford, it was my late father's O gauge layout set in Devon (where else). Although it was dismantled after his death, it is hoped that it will go on permanent public display at the Stainmore Railway centre in Kirkby Stephen.

I appreciate that you have written that the model was "based" in Devon and yet the photos remind me of two other places:-

a) Marlborough GWR station;
b) East Dean although that station has been omitted from every GWR map which I have seen.

Irrespective, the atmosphere is genuine and in buckets.

thank you, Graham

Bit of an update to the future of the layout. Apparently the boards are now in the care of Bradford Model Railway club, although the stock remains in Cumbria. I'm not too sure what's happening to be honest so I'm going to do a bit of digging.

If anyone here has contact with or is familiar with anyone at Bradford club who might be able to help, I'd appreciate if you could drop me a line.

Cheers

Jon
