Yes. Well done. A very good video. It did amuse me when the 3-link couplings magically lifted and lowered by themselves! I hope I can achieve such steady running at low speed on my layout (although its a bit easier in 7mm).

An unusual visitor to Mid-Wales. This 'Crompton' worked a military special from Marchwood to Llanddewi as far as Newport, where the booked W.R. loco had failed, so the S.R. crew were prevailed upon to conduct the W.R. crew as far as Capel Bethesda, from where an MoD loco took the train on up the light railway to Llanddewi.

The 'Crompton' rests in the yard, whilst the crew have a well-earned break, prior to returning light engine and van to the Southern Region:

Hymeks were relatively rare visitors down the branch from Leominster, but this one was pressed into service, when the booked 350hp diesel shunter on the branch tripper failed on Leominster shed:

I will echo my comments made elsewhere.

An extraordinarily splendid image and should this lovely layout be featured, more than worthy of gracing the front cover of MRJ.

When the crew returned from their brew in the shunters cabin, they found a brake problem on the 'Crompton', so a passing Hymek was put into the loop on the North & West line at Leominster and sent down the branch to rescue it:

Then the Hymek towed the Crompton to Swindon where it was immediately dismantled and the bits thrown over Cohens wall.

Those low level shots are great, as if the photographer had his camera held at around 4 or 5 feet above the ground on a tripod. The black and white ones take you right back to the early 60's.

Busy as we are focusing on the lovely Hymek, we should not overlook just how good this area is.
