Morning all.
Bleat Wharf had a very nice debut as an exhibition layout at the RMweb members day at Taunton last weekend.
More of a social than a show, it was very relaxed and a thoroughly enjoyable day.
Bleat was assembled and ran for the first time at the show that morning. Very quick to pop up without any issues at all.
A few very minor teething problems arising from the rush in getting Bleat ready were soon ironed out and things went fine.
Operating the layout was a lot of fun and I was very pleased.
The lighting fascia from Mutton was borrowed and the next job is to build one specific to Bleat.
This will include space on top to store the fiddle yard when in store/transit meaning it is one lift to move about.
As in the previous post, Bleat was due to be exhibited for the first time in public at the Cardiff show in October. I have withdrawn it due to family commitments that weekend and therefore it will be out and about in January 2020. First will be the S&DJR trust show at Edington followed by the Small Cardiff show the same month.
I am very pleased to be taking Bleat to the show at Edington and having the opportunity to show my take on the S&D to other S&D enthusiasts in the part of Somerset which inspired the layout.
All good stuff really.
A few recent photos, including an Eastern region Toad added to the stock list.
