It was a good layout. Great use of the limited space.

Just a small observation... Road vehicles always define the "age" of a layout for me... I would have liked to have seen the car at the front (was it a 100E?) change occassionally as the period of the stock era evolved..? (sorry for thread hj).

Thing about the railway, some things in certain locations disappeared quite quickly like the coaling stage at Bescot yet some things survive, like the old steam sheds OK fenced off from the rest of the depot, but again look at Stourbridge Jnc again loads of steam era equipment still there in the 70's. Its a very hit and miss subject. Another place to look is New St the old signal light building on Platform 1 it survived the complete annihilation of the old New St and was found a new use ( Training and Road learning School), only being demolished in the last few years.
