A detail too far?

Spotted this this evening in my FB feed, an interesting detail I'd not seen before, if you modeled this you'd be shot down in flames.

The tender rave has been rolled in a bending brake, not a set of rollers you'd usually expect, thus leaving the tell tale ridges at each bend.

Ironically kit designers add half etch rebates inside bends to help form them and thus leave the same tell tale edges, mush to peoples chagrin when they have to fill or file them smooth.

EMD did (maybe still do) bend their fuel tanks in the very same way and that's the only place I've seen it used before.

Note also that whilst the cabside numbers are visible, the tender emblem is all but completely obscured by dirt. I accordingly didn't bother applying the emblems to my Crosti model!
