Prototype Weathered wagons...

We were at the Severn Valley again on Sunday collecting Chris's painting from the GRA exhibition while there I took a few photos of some well weathered items of rolling stock for the weathering armoury.

Somewhat heavy weathering, Rob. The outward bow in the sides (and end?) of the 16 tonner is something not often seen in models. In fact, many plastic bodied opens seem to bow inwards.

Yes, it's a look I fancy having a go at, at some point. My main problem is that its obviously better suited to metal bodied vehicles rather than my more usual wooden bodied examples. I do have a couple of LNER steel hoppers in my stash along with a scratch built tank wagon that needs finishing so they might become my test subjects at some point.

Just spent an age trying to find my photos of the same wagons from circa 2017 - thought they might make an interesting 'over time' comparison.
Sadly my indexing discipline is rubbish - I have no idea where I filed them!
