Was this German secret weapon?

At the risk of dragging things further OT, it was quite common for the Luftwaffe to fit bombs to fighters for sweeps over England. It was pioneered during the Battle of Britain, when Erprobungsgruppe 210 did low, fast runs of Bf109 and Bf110 aircraft with bombs Over targets of opportunity. The Fw190 was able to carry bombs.

:)

And now, back to our regular scheduled sheepfold…

It was meant to be a joke Heather - calm down

Morning all.

In respect of the recent Southern acquisitions, I've posted an overview in the 'Resources' section of the forum which explains in more detail how this came about.

After a slight hiatus, I've finally managed to make a start on Project X.

The entire board, including track has been sprayed with Halfords Red Oxide primer.

Next, I decided to paint the areas where additional ground cover will be added. It brought the layout to life and has given an idea of how the layout will actually look.

The brown, dark earth actually will be areas of grass, grey will be ash areas, yard etc.

I've tried to avoid straight lines. It's a very simple layout so anything that can distract the eye from this will help.

These photos should give an idea of how I hope things will end up.

Evening all,

It's been a while but there has been some progress, albeit glacial.

Trackwork has been weathered and ballasted.

Ash has been laid in yard areas and the first layer of 2mm static grass laid.

The trackwork has been tested and seems okay after some cleaning and tweaking.
