Now we are in the new year below is details of this years Railex, I have been putting the floor plan together and with some very big layouts have just managed to fit everything in.

I'm really looking forward to this show. It's the one multi-gauge show I attend, and it never disappoints. I just hope I have time to look at some of the other layouts.

We are there with Tucking Mill, looking forward to it as always. For my money David consistently puts together the best show of the year.

Not to much P4 :p but always a good selection of traders, I should be there for at least one day and possibly the friday for setting up.

At £8 to get in at Railex it has got to be good value, on the other hand if you want to build a layout that I can invite in a future year you get in that year for free!

I must thank all the people R&D MRC members friends and familles who do make Railex work over the weekend.

Plenty of interest for me in 2mm and N,as well as the work of the mighty Mr Nevard.
Is the 121 still plying it's trade between Princes Risborough and Aylesbury....????

It certainly is !! !! :thumbs: :thumbs:
In fact, they have two of them, one in a lawn colour, and one looking more like the sky.

They play games with them, sometimes. I've seen the green lawn-coloured one with destination blinds for Blaenau Ffestiniog on one end and Llandudno on the other ! :)) :)) :))

Here is the vintage bus time table, including the Chiltern Railway arrival and departure times, so you can plan you day if using the train or parking in the Friarscroft car park.

Also we will be selling Railex entry tickets on the bus for the first few bus runs on the Saturday, which hopefully reduce the queue to pay at the cash desk at the stadium.

David does a cracking taxi service every year for the most needed. :p
If those who are travelling from afar it is better to park in Friarscroft and get the bus to the show and bring your dear ladies to get lost in town, parking has always been fun at the stadium over the years, so if you are not early please park in town.
I can be heard across the parking areas when the radios do not work :rant:
We also have to deal with the lazy sods who use the centre for sport and fitness that live a few 100 metres away and want to drive, dont fear them as I wind them up when they get angry.

I shall look forward to that.It's a lovely journey between P.R and Aylesbury and the 121 makes it even better.

I don't want to disapoint you but the bubble cars don't tend to get used at weekends, although if there is a problem with a 165 unit it has been known they have been used.

When you travel from Princes Risborough to Aylesbury say a very happy birthday to the line as it was opened 150 years ago and was built to Brunels broad gauge, but only lasted like this till 1868 when it was the first line in England to be converted to standard gauge, as has been said it's a pretty run under the Chiltern hills
