Rail joiners - what is available?

Hi,

I've been doing some layout preparations and wondering what to use for rail joints on the visible section. I know there are there Peco ones, but what else is out there? Do people use them, or solder rails together and use cosmetic joints? Or does someone make super slim joiners Peco style?

Thanks

Tom

For Bullhead rail there is a choice... both from C&L. You can have brass etches which are glued / soldered into the web or there is an ABS moulding of an inner and an outer plate joined by a bridge (so the moulding is like a letter 'H') - the rail web slips between the inner and outer plates up to the bridge.

The abs fishplate is the way to go, they look very good. They were originally by exacto scale but c&l sell them now. The original exacto scale chairs are also much better looking than the c&l ones.
