Oiled stencil card??

Hi...I have at least a dozen 3 foot by 4 foot [approx] sheets of oiled stencil card, acquired many years ago....Taken on board as I came across mention of the use of this stuff for model construction. However, I have lost track over the years, of the reference articles [I cannot recall which model railway forum they were on, either!] Can anybody point me towards any construction articles using this stuff, please? Specifically, whether it takes paint , what type of paint, or what's the best glue to use, etc etc. It would be a shame to waste such a freebie...

The card from Hobbycraft certainly takes spirit-based contact adhesives like UHU and Evo-Stik. These have held for four years with no sign of warping on the still-unfinished other side.

Faller textured road paint (which is an acrylic formulation) will stick and stay put too.

Thanks for the info, Giles...I have I think 10 or a dozen sheets, 50 x 100 cm, with the 'box' labelled ''Jackson's Art''

They were a ''find'' when I moved house some 10 or more years ago.....Like everything else I 'find', I kept it all, just in case.....

Maybe time to do some modelling?
