The Rapido reefers, I take it? I don't know much about the prototype, but any of the Rapido stuff looks very well to me!

I've got a Rapido CB&Q wide vision caboose with opening windows and stay-on (DCC) directional lighting and fantastic detail... my favourite piece of rolling stock :)

Loving those reefers

Yes I've been quite impressed with the Broadway limited smoke units. But we will see in a few months when the Y6B arrives. image.jpgMore freight cars ordered some not due out until January though

I've gone from 0 to 7 in a week and I have 12 broadway limited coal hoppers on order with more to follow. I found some great clips on you tube yesterday and there was a few Virginian and Clinchfield hoppers mixed in along with the odd brown N&W hopper.
The new Rolling thunder system looks great also from Broadway, it adds in a sub woofer that is compatible with all of the paragon 3 models. I hope the A and the J have the appropriate upgrade in due course. That should add in some extra Woompf!!! When the Y6 is dragging the coal over Coopers bridge.

It wasn't until I went to store my newest loco that I realised just how much US outline stock I'd acquired over the past couple of years.
I picked up some Broadway box cars around a year ago and they are fine models.

What I really need to do is purge the UK outline equipment that I'm not going to use but I haven't found the necessary motivation so far.
If I could just build that small(ish) shunting layout then regular use of US outline could render the UK obsolete for me freeing up much needed space.... I'm even considering losing some of the LGB now I've scratched that particular itch.

Conformation arrived this morning of my pre order for a y6b and we are looking around September for a delivery date. I won't be ordering any more wagons after the next lot arrive whilst I save up for it!!
Pity I couldn't stretch to two but never mind. Hopefully Broadway will reintroduce the A & J to paragon 3 standards. I would like a pair of J's
Throw in a few GP9's, Alco RS3 & some leased F units and I should be set! Oh and maybe a set of Southern E units

I made up some timber loads from a little laser cut kits yesterday, I think I will pop these on a flat car when I get some,
I had some good news from Broadway limited, both the J and A will be released again some time next year with Paragon 3 sound, Paragon 3 works with a wireless receiver and an extra subwoofer under the layout, this will give sound fitted paragon 3 loco's some extra Woomph!! The Y6B will be the first with it fitted and I have the wireless "Rolling Thunder" system on order, it's due out in the UK later this year.
