Mr Tiger Viking
Western Thunderer
Hello All
Its about time I entered something serious on this excellent forum (well done Cynric)
So here goes, It is my intention to at least enter on a monthly basis the work I have achieved during the month around modelling in Gauge 1 1/32nd.
However having just moved house the current Mrs Tiger Viking is planning the decorating programme for me, my Daughter is ageing yearly by the day !! and work is the other time stealer
So to start off with then is D854 Tiger which is from the Fred Phipps range
It was my intention for all my locomotives that run/operate on Worcester Road to run in the acurate liveries for the BR timetable year of May 1970 to May 1971, however one exception to this will be D854 Tiger which will be finished in BR Green small yellow panel, in a filthy weathered condition circa 1969, just before she entered Swindon Works for an overhaul and a repaint into BR Blue, the reason for this is simple I allready have a Warship in this final BR Blue livery - 862 Viking.
Enough rabbit from me, a picture or a series of pictures paint a thousand words so they say, so I will try and let the images do the talking......
Image 1 - Shows the front end detail added, along with the scratch built plasticard MU holder plates and Coupling kick plate.
Image 2 - Shows the number alignment, data panel, driver reporting card holder and Prestolith added to the shaffe/lower body line.
Image 3 - The Tiger nameplate from Diane Carney range, BR Emblem, and body side stripe.
Image 4 - The NBL Cooling fan
Image 5 - The NBL Exhaust ports, note the Swindon Engine and pre heater exhaust are filled in.
Image 6 - Bogie etches
Image 7 - Chassis
Image 8 - Warship body
Happy New Year
Regards
